Open Bethlehem launched in November 2005, swiftly generating more than 200 reports
in the world press and the travel media. Launch events were held in Washington
and London, with addresses at the UK parliament, Chatham House and the National
Press Club in Washington. Following the launch, Open Bethlehem established a cross-party
committee of British MPs, entertained high-level political delegations and journalists
in Bethlehem, held media events in cities across Britain and America and participated
in trade fairs, achieving a resounding centre-stage success at World Travel Market.
Since then, we have continued to make an impact, using modern public relations
tools to make the case for Bethlehem and its survival. We continually photograph
and document the changes in Bethlehem to up-date our presentations and ensure
